a six senses post ~ all through the house

seeing ~ red poinsettias and curly ribbons, fragrant steam rising from a freshly baked loaf of bread, kitties all tucked in, fairy lights glowing, jolly santas and smiling snowmen, firelight dancing, newly polished silver sparkling

hearing ~ children laughing, christmas music, jingle bells whenever someone opens our front door, snow plows, the timer on the oven telling me the sugar cookies are done

feeling ~ happy, festive, excited, content

smelling ~ orange wood polish, cookie dough, buttercream frosting, simmering spices, fresh herbs, lasagna baking, yeast bread rising, fresh pine boughs and christmas tree, apple pie-scented candles burning

tasting ~ pancakes for dinner while it snows outside, peppermint schanpps hot cocoa, gooey eggs on fresh baked bread, Harney & Son’s Holiday Tea

knowing ~ this is going to be the best christmas yet!
