For a beautifully scented home, combine:

1 or 2 cinnamon sticks

1 teaspoon ginger

1 teaspoon nutmeg

1 teaspoon peppercorns

1 teaspoon whole or ground cloves

1 to 2 Tablespoons (or more) orange peel or zest

a few drops of pure vanilla extract

Place the spices and orange peel in a saucepan along with a few cups of water. Bring to a boil and then lower to a very low simmer. Enjoy the spicy, natural scents and add water as needed.
