minnesota renaissance festival ~ 2013
iridescent fairy wings… whimsical renaissance-themed surroundings, cool crisp fall-like air, sunshine, woodsmoke, the scent of food cooking, toasting the hubby with a beer and a turkey drumstick, comedians around every corner, vegetable justice, puddle monsters, old fashioned carnival rides, bustiers, ridiculously pretty hair-dos and flower crowns, gorgeous costumes, chocolate, gelato, fairy forests and mermaid coves, hilarious street performers and wonderful musicians of every sort, maypole dances, warm scotch eggs with gravy and mustard, life-size chess games, the pickle guy, a big rocking horse, pepperoni calzones with red sauce & parmesan cheese, the guy who balances a tower of ice on his head and walks around reciting limericks, babies in costume, fresh salted pecan rolls and tiramisu, the creative decoration of puddles… and Bud the Fairy serenading us with “So This is Love” and “Fly Me to the Moon.“
