an autumn art festival, a riverside farmer’s market, “hoof & snout” (beef and pork) sandwiches and wild rice meatball sliders from the meathead’s food stand for lunch, a brass band playing in a courtyard, trains stopping and going at the train station in levee park, red wing all decked out for fall…corn stalks and pumpkins have taken the place of the beautiful hanging baskets giving our downtown a festive look, our bluff starting to turn color, house vines, oak leaves everywhere, fall leaves ~ watercolor paintings by nature, a shipment of captain morgan spiced rum to play with in my kitchen, happy hour cocktails and apps on the patio of kelly’s pub, 18th wedding anniversary flowers, lunch at muddy waters bar and grill in prescott wisconsin ~ good food, okay service, okay atmosphere and a pretty good wine list…I give it 3 out of 5 stars for a lunch destination…looking forward to trying their dinner menu and returning to enjoy their awesome riverside deck and live music in the summer…I had the mediterranean pizza with chicken added and a couple great glasses of wine (see description above…I especially enjoyed the Kim Crawford Sauv Blanc), Jeff and Gracie had the muffuletta sandwich… a train bridge and a leaf peeping walk… the trees are getting prettier by the minute…
I hope you’ve all been enjoying October so far.
XO,
