holiday stroll and a quiet day at home

This evening we walked downtown to enjoy the annual Red Wing Holiday Stroll. We watched the lighting ceremony, ate s’mores, had wine and coffee at Sarah’s, went to the mural parking lot for live music and a warm fire and saw Santa and Mrs. Claus drive by on a fire truck at the parade.

We ate another turkey dinner with all the sides and went out to our front porch to watch the fireworks over Barn Bluff.

Another beautiful day in the Mississippi River valley.

What did you do today?

  1. Looks a nice little walk! We went to this place in Paris today – although Paris has a café culture it’s not the one which I’m accustomed to, or actually like. I like places like this… somewhere with a counter where you order a coffee and they have about 30 different cakes and cookies to choose from… comfortable seats, friendly staff. You get that in the UK, in Sweden, in the US if this place is anything to go by, but usually not France (unless you go to Starbucks) so this place was wonderful. We took a walk afterwards and found a little square with a fountain and all these wonderful Christmas lights. I so wanted to take a photo and then I realised I’d left my cellphone back in the car… d’oh :/

  2. It was a beautiful evening! Around 60 degrees here, which is strange for November. I am so glad we’re friends so I can live vicariously through you and hear all about where you went in paris today! Oh my gosh! I’m jealous. Maybe I wouldn’t like the cafe culture either, but I Reallllyyy want to find out. 😉 I will do this on the day I go to a French flea market to buy my banged up saucer and fork 🙂 hee hee.

    1. It was a beautiful night! It’s been really nice in MN which is so strange to say in November! We’ll take all of this mild weather we can get and hope for a short winter 😉 Thanks for commenting.
