Repurposing Idea ~ Marble Tile Coasters
This is an idea I came up with a few years ago after visiting a cute, touristy gift shop. I fell in love with these cool, distressed marble coasters that cost $50 for a set of 6. I was kind of bummed because I knew there was no way I would ever pay that much for a coffee table accessory. On our way home I came up with this idea…buy marble tiles from the local Home Depot and get some of those little chair pads that protect wood floors from getting scratched…
These cost less than a dollar a piece to make and I like them just as much as the ones from the gift shop!

I am on a continuous search for coasters that don’t suction to one’s glass if it gets any moisture on it. I’ve broken coasters, glasses, and chipped my coffee table because of that happening. Might have to try this, though! They look awesome.
