I don’t know about you, but I’m seeing a pattern here…Ocean View Cafe for breakfast, beach time, pool time (all of these things, every day? Yup.)

So because I don’t want to bore you with the same things over and over, I’ll just tell you right now, we had this sandwich twice. And I loved it so much I wanted to marry it. Jeff said it was the best sandwich he’s ever eaten, and I agree with him.

~Ocean View Cafe Herb Pizza Sandwich~

Manaesh bread baked with thyme, oregano and sesame seeds, filled with chicken breast, feta cheese, sundried tomatoes and fresh tomatoes. We both added bacon and avocado to our sandwiches and ordered a side of labni.  YUMMY YUMMY YUM!

It was one of those sandwiches that went perfectly with a cup of really good coffee. Luckily the Ocean View Cafe makes great coffee, so we were in business.

Such a fun, relaxing day.

Don’t ya just love the beach?

Then we went to the Manhattan Beach Aquarium at the end of the pier

after all of this relaxing we were hungry

I was still on the quest for the ultimate fish taco

so, we tried


we had the tacos with the Cajun fish filling

in corn tortillas with cheese, lettuce, cabbage and salsa

we ordered sides of sour cream and guacamole

they were very, very good!

and for dessert…

I had to try

the vanilla tea cake


after lunch we drove back to the resort for some more relaxing

in the pool and hot tub. aaahhhhh.

    I am loving your travel journal posts. They make me SO HUNGRY! LOL I also want to try all those drinks. And go swimming in the ocean. And basically be in Southern California. 😀

    You know I love everyone of your food photos. So appealing that I would love to sit down and eat. Thanks…So how much weight did everyone put on during this vacation? LOL 😉

      hee hee…you’re so funny! actually Jeff and I were talking about what a healthy vacation we had. We both LOST weight. Probably all of the swimming, walking and sand hiking.

      the food was awesome! love trying new places while on vacation.
