california travel journal ~ day five

I don’t know about you, but I’m seeing a pattern here…Ocean View Cafe for breakfast, beach time, pool time (all of these things, every day? Yup.)

So because I don’t want to bore you with the same things over and over, I’ll just tell you right now, we had this sandwich twice. And I loved it so much I wanted to marry it. Jeff said it was the best sandwich he’s ever eaten, and I agree with him.

~Ocean View Cafe Herb Pizza Sandwich~

Manaesh bread baked with thyme, oregano and sesame seeds, filled with chicken breast, feta cheese, sundried tomatoes and fresh tomatoes. We both added bacon and avocado to our sandwiches and ordered a side of labni.  YUMMY YUMMY YUM!

It was one of those sandwiches that went perfectly with a cup of really good coffee. Luckily the Ocean View Cafe makes great coffee, so we were in business.

after breakfast, you guessed it. Beach.

Jeff built a sandcastle

and Gracie helped

I read

Such a fun, relaxing day.

Don’t ya just love the beach?

Then we went to the Manhattan Beach Aquarium at the end of the pier

after all of this relaxing we were hungry

I was still on the quest for the ultimate fish taco

so, we tried

Wahoo

we had the tacos with the Cajun fish filling

in corn tortillas with cheese, lettuce, cabbage and salsa

we ordered sides of sour cream and guacamole

they were very, very good!

and for dessert…

I had to try

the vanilla tea cake

YUM!

after lunch we drove back to the resort for some more relaxing

in the pool and hot tub. aaahhhhh.
