maple iced tea
~maple iced tea~
serves 6
A refreshing, slightly sweet tea with the surprising flavor of maple. A yummy tea to serve at picnics and garden parties. I have doubled, tripled and quadrupled this recipe for big family gatherings. I just pour everything into my big Robinson Ransbottom stoneware crock cooler and it keeps the tea icy cold for hours.
8 cups hot, brewed black tea
1/4 cup real maple syrup
3 Tablespoons fresh lemon juice
ice cubes
lemon wedges
mint sprigs
Combine maple syrup with the tea while it’s still hot. Allow mixture to cool and then refrigerate until completely chilled. Just prior to serving, stir in the lemon juice and ice cubes. Add lemon slices and garnish each glass with a sprig of fresh mint.
Happy Teatime Tuesday!
I love maple flavor so I will definitely be trying this! I just need to buy some real maple syrup because I want the whole experience! 🙂 Thanks again for another amazing recipe! PS I’d love to have a meal at your house, you always make the best things!
I’d love to have you over for dinner sometime! I was just thinking about you yesterday…thinking I REALLY have to send you your present I promised you…and also thinking it’s time to try your recipe for chocolate ice cream! xoxo 😉
Oh you definitely have to try the ice cream. It’s amazing and you will LOVE it! I got it from Cook’s Country magazine, which I love. They are part of America’s Test Kitchens and they try tons of different recipes until they perfect the ingredients and techniques to use to make the recipe perfectly. That’s where I got the BLT pasta recipe too actually. On second thought, you will love them both 🙂
can’t wait to try these…btw…did you see that a certain domesticated gypsy’s link now resides on my blogroll? 😉
