Six Senses Saturday

~Tasting~

Spicy Chinese Peanut Noodles

from the Joy of Cooking Cookbook

and while I chopped broccoli

I hummed THIS SONG

~Smelling~

Fresh Flowers

~Hearing~

The Decemberist’s new, awesome album

The King is Dead

Take a listen…

Don’t Carry it All

Calamity Song

and my favorite…

June Hymn

~Seeing~

This beautiful book

full of my favorite kind of imagery

~Feeling ~

Like eating something chocolate

to go with this yummy wine

Cupcake-Red Velvet

“Red Velvet is a smooth creamy blend of Zinfandel, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. It’s reminiscent of a blackberry chocolate cupcake with a mocha coulis.  Shows an incredible nose of chocolate, deep rich blackberries,  red fruits and a creamy mocha finish that is unmistakable in its intensity and length.” ~from the Cupcake Vineyard website

~Knowing~

This game was really close…

How are you spending your Saturday?

~Melissa

  1. it’s been awesome…baked bread for half the day which is really cheap therapy for me 🙂 The red velvet cupcake is totally yummy with chocolate.

  2. I’m a day late so it’s Six Senses Sunday for me! TASTING mint chocolate chip chocolate cake – SMELLING fresh brewed coffee that I get to drink hot for once – SEEING my list of things to do get slightly shorter while watching Letters To Juliet – HEARING only the sounds of the TV because I’m actually alone – FEELING relaxed & peaceful while I enjoy one of the first Sundays to myself in a very long time and KNOWING that I’m getting much needed tasks accomplished.
