Thank you for the beauty and heartfelt emotion of this post. You captured the sacred space that Paisley Park has become.
I am from Chaska and am feeling the loss of Prince deeply. His music is in my mind constantly since he passed.
He had a presence here, though I never met him or saw him. I liked driving by Paisley Park after running errands at night and seeing his purple light on. I liked knowing he was there creating, singing, playing.
He was a force of purple love and light. Hard to describe it, but you shared what many of us are feeling here in Minnesota for him.
He will be with us always. Love and comfort to you. . . .
Hi Pamela,
I’m so pleased you like the Prince post. I’m still in shock that this happened and I know I’m not alone. I know this loss is felt all over the world, but I believe it’s especially profound to us Minnesotans. He’s one of us and he will be so missed. I burst into tears when we first drove out to Paisley Park after his death. So many people gathered in his memory. It literally took my breath away. Much love to you, and thank you for your comment. ~Melissa
