I’m sure you’ve all heard about (and probably sampled) Ben & Jerry’s “Chubby Hubby” ice cream. Well, this isn’t that. This is actually frozen yogurt (but you don’t have to tell anyone.) It’s rich and creamy and soooooo chocolaty. I used agave nectar in place of sugar in this recipe so you can rejoice while indulging in a treat that is high in antioxidants, probiotics and low on the glycemic index.

When the lovely people over at Nocciolata contacted me and asked me to create some recipes with their gorgeouos, organic product, the first thing I thought was “ice cream!”

Nocciolata is quite a bit like Nutella, but it’s better for you for so many reasons!

Oh, and besides this being healthy… it’s some of the best chocolate ice cream I’ve ever had. Not kidding. Give “Healthy Hubby” Chocolate Ice Cream a try 😉

2 cups plain greek yogurt

1 cup buttermilk

1 cup Nocciolata Hazelnut Cocoa Milk Spread

1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

1/2 cup agave nectar

1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

Combine all ingredients in a large mixing bowl and whisk together until smooth. Transfer to the freezer bowl of your ice cream maker and process according to product instructions (I let this go for 30 minutes.) Transfer to a freezer-safe container with a tight fitting lid. Cover and freeze for 2 hours prior to scooping and serving.

Enjoy!
