spa brownies
~spa brownies~
My friend Jana gave me this super-easy, yummy and pretty-darn-good-for-ya recipe for spa brownies. This recipe is going to sound a little weird, but trust me. It makes a batch of ooey gooey brownies that you don’t have to feel guilty about eating. I made some last night and both Gracie and Jeff went back for seconds.
you’ll need:
1 (15 oz.) can black beans (unseasoned, undrained)
1 box brownie mix (for a 9×13 pan)
Puree undrained black beans in a food processor until very smooth. In a large mixing bowl, combine the pureed black beans with the dry brownie mix. Stir until thoroughly combined and smooth.
Pour into a 9×13 cake pan that has been sprayed with PAM or Baker’s Joy. Bake at 350 for about 45 minutes (or until brownies are completely set.) Cool pan of brownies completely before cutting and serving.
That’s it!
Enjoy!

I made black bean brownies last year and people couldn’t tell the difference! AND you can’t really eat more than one because they are filled with fiber and protein, so you’re left satisfied. 🙂
I agree! very rich, filling, chocolaty, and satisfying. And they have beans in them so of course they’re health food! 😉
thats awesome!!!
So good!
OMG thank you for this recipe!!! What a great way to get the daycare kids to eat something good for them AND it’s a no-egg recipe so it’s safe!! Awesome!!
you’re welcome! just make sure there aren’t eggs in the brownie mix. Do they sometimes put powdered eggs in brownie mix? The kind you just mix with water?
