Happy weekend, Lovelies! As you know, I am obsessed with strawberries. I absolutely love them. And paired with basil… oh my! A match made in heaven. This delicious, refreshing cocktail is the best of both of those worlds. I think these cocktails would make a lovely addition to a Mother’s Day celebration or a summer picnic.
for 1 cocktail:
5 large, ripe strawberries, tops removed, sliced + 1 whole berry for garnish
5 large basil leaves, torn into pieces + 1 small sprig for garnish
3 Tablespoons simple syrup
2 oz. vodka (I used Stoli)
ice
2 oz. club soda
Place strawberry slices, basil leaves and simple syrup in a drink shaker glass. Muddle well until it’s the consistency of applesauce. Add a large handful of ice. Place cover on drink shaker and shake well for 90 seconds. Strain into a wide mouth canning jar. Top with the vodka and ice. Stir well. Top with club soda. Garnish glass with a whole strawberry and a sprig of basil.
Cheers!
