smelling ~ rich, chocolaty espresso, tomatoey soup simmering, italian food, garlic roasting, THIS PERFUME

seeing ~ snow gently falling in perfect puffy flakes… I caught some on my mitten today and looked closely…such amazing detail…fireplace blazing, amber candles glowing, vintage valentines and decor finally up and embellishing our rooms with romance, silly sweet fuzzy wuzzy kitties

tasting ~ greek salad, butterscotchy cognac night caps, ice cream flavored conversation hearts, pasta fazool, milky tea with vanilla sugar, spaghetti and meatballs, chianti, and caramel chocolate chunk gelato

feeling ~ like hibernating and never getting out of my flannel jammies

hearing ~ old love songs crooning

knowing ~ that the days are getting longer because I no longer have to take food photos by 4:00 PM to make sure I can take them in natural light. YAY! does that mean that spring is just around the corner?

XO,

~Melissa

Thanks, Becks! That was definitely some of the best gelato I’ve ever had 🙂 xo

The pictures are lovely, each one offering something special. I like the blackboard with the saying about the cottage build of lilacs and laughter….that’s sweet.
