simple spring pleasures
garden centers that smell like freshly cut flowers, dew and soil
bistro boards with lovely lunch menus scrawled on them
peeling paint on white picket fences
rusty tomato cages
seed catalog dreams realized
buttercream yellow pottery bowls for mixing pancake batter
lavender linen spray
newly installed clotheslines
herb starts in chipped antique teacups
watering cans
french wire trellises and plant stands
an array of English teacups for $1 in an old out building
croissant sandwiches, cookies and tea fireside with a friend
antiquing in a sleepy Mississippi river town…
What are your favorite springtime simple pleasures?

What beautiful pictures! I love spring. It used to be one of my least favorite seasons but these past several years I just love early spring. The buds are beginning to awake and everything is so fresh after a long winters nap. I guess spring wasn’t always my favorite since here in NY it can be beautiful one day and snowing the next. But still spring is beautiful and so are your lovely pictures! Have a beautiful spring weekend! 🙂
Thanks Jennifer! I love spring too. Minnesota is pretty unpredictable so we enjoy these gorgeous early spring days when we can. Thanks so much for stopping by! xo
I love the tan earthen ware mixing bowls in the third photo. They remind me of my grandmother’s house in Ireland. Spring is really in the air and these photos just reinforce the wonderful feeling of renewal that spring always brings.
Hello Mairead,
Thanks for the sweet compliments. I am so excited to turn the page from winter to spring! 🙂 Lovely of you to stop by and leave a comment. xo
