“It is good to be alone in a garden at dawn or dark so that all its shy presences may haunt you and possess you in a reverie of suspended thought.” ~James Douglas, Down Shoe Lane

Just wanted to share more garden pictures with you! I took these today. Aren’t they beautiful? How is your garden doing this year?

XO,

~Melissa

  1. Beautiful! Thanks for sharing. Since we just moved this spring, and the previous tenant did not have any sort of garden, we opted to wait until next year to plant one, so I have to say our garden is not doing very well this year. LOL There is a big patch of the tall orange common lilies in the back corner of our yard, though. (at least I believe that’s what they are!) They seemed to take forever to finally bloom, but certainly gorgeous when they did!

    1. you’re welcome! I forgot to take a picture of my two-tone orange lilies (called “Loreto”) and my little yellow ones (called “Ambassador.”) I’m amazed at how well they’re doing this year! My annuals, on the other hand, are looking a bit droopy. Thanks for commenting!
