hee hee, a hook debate 🙂
I can’t crochet or knit with plastic hooks or needles. It just feels wrong to me.
To each their own…
I do like the Susan Bates circular knitting needle when I’m doing a big project, though. So much easier than long needles.

I really like Susan Bates hooks. I have used them for about 50 years now. I think the angle of the hook is correct for the way I hold my crochet hook. It just seems to catch the yarn properly for me. Plastic seems to slip too much for me. But again, in a pinch if I don’t have an option, I will purchase a Boyd to start a project. Especially when I am traveling and get that urge to crochet. Favorite yarn is Vanna’s. Although I have used Red Heart for years. K-mart had a brand called Luv knit that I really liked. But not anymore I guess.
The blanket is cute, but I will have to disagree with you about the crochet hook. I am a Susan Bates girl.

Thanks Kimber! I was so surprised!
I don’t use plastic hooks. I have metal Susan Bates hooks
oh, I see. I’ve only ever seen plastic hooks by that brand. So what makes them so special? And what are some of your favorite yarn brands?
