scenes from the last couple weeks
fresh cut herbs harvested from our back yard garden… drying in neat rows and eventually packed into jars for Christmas gifts, kitties basking in the warmth of the fireplace, the kinfolk table cookbook ~ recipes for small gatherings… a treasure trove of inspiration, beautiful Belgian chocolate shipped from one of my readers directly from Belgium! I feel so loved! thanks Dolores! … apothic dark for halloween – a delicious, well-priced red!, an authentic German coo coo clock that my grandparents purchased while vacationing in the black forest. This clock reminds me of my childhood and holds so many wonderful, family memories. I can hardly wait to hang it on our dining room wall…crocheting a Heisneberg afghan for my brother Phillip, receiving homemade red sauce from our friend Dave, broasted chicken, pizza burgers and patty melts “al fresco,” Gracie and Miller lounging fireside, walleye sammys and pizza for date night at a local pub, the Nelson Creamery and Cheese Shop with Jeff and our darling daughters… a yummy wine list…
What have you been up to, Lovelies?
XO,
~Melissa
