maple french press vinaigrette
A wonderfully unique vinaigrette inspired by the scents of breakfast cooking in a bed & breakfast inn. Created especially for Wolf River Apple Salad with Grilled Chicken, but yummy on all sorts of salads.
In the bowl of a food processor, combine:
1/2 cup olive oil
1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
1/2 cup French press coffee or strong coffee (brewed and cooled)
1/3 cup real maple syrup
1 Tablespoon soy sauce
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon nutmeg
1 teaspoon hot sauce
salt and freshly ground pepper to taste
Blend until well combined.
Enjoy!

Had to smile at this~breakfast the other morning was pancakes with spice pear butter hot from the cooking pot and a side of sausage with fresh roasted coffee. I had to make it all, but it made me dream for a few minutes that I was tucked away in a beautiful bed & breakfast. Until the kids started complaining. *sigh*
hee hee 🙂 enjoy!
i am going to make this tonite just because it sounds so absolutely delicious and I am going to have it over a ripe pear with some toasted walnuts. Uh-huh I am.
