~ iced vietnamese coffee ~

This is a lovely little coffee drink to make when you have extra sweetened condensed milk. There are a few recipes in my recipe box that only call for part of a can of the sweet creamy stuff, and I was so happy when I discovered this coffee a few years ago. I’ve made the “shake” version before too, but I like it better just mixed up and poured over ice. Cafe Du Monde coffee is the best for this, but any good quality, fresh ground coffee will do. This time when I made it I used Caribou coffee and it turned out awesome. Just mix double strong coffee, sweetened condensed milk, 2% milk and ice to taste. I usually start with about an inch of the condensed milk in the bottom of a glass, but it really does depend on how sweet you like your coffee. 🙂

Enjoy!

  1. Ooohh…there’s this little restaurant not far from me that has the best. Every time I get take-out from there I order it.

And it’s gone. In like 3 minutes.

But so totally worth the money.
