This lovely lady sounds like Billie Holiday. This is one of the most gorgeous voices I’ve heard since I discovered Norah Jones. The same type of sultry, rich music. Take a listen, and let me know what you think.

In 2003, I produced the album “Got You On My mind” featuring Madeleine and myself. The album was never released on a major label and received far less distribution and notoriety than her other albums. Nevertheless, Got You On My Mind was praised by the top jazz critics in the US and abroad. Jazz Times said: “Peyroux and Galison are a match made in musical heaven”. Jazzitude said: “Madeleine’s work on this CD … is among the most natural performances and quite possibly the best recorded example of her vocal talents.”

“Got You On My Mind” is now available directly from Waking Up Music for only $12 plus shipping.

Is this REALLY William Galison, the jazz musician? I am so honored that you commented on my blog. I will look on Waking Up Music for the cd you’re referring to in your comment! I look forward to hearing “Got You On My Mind.”

The link you sent to me isn’t working for some reason. πŸ˜‰

    Have a great day!
