My friend and talented newspaper columnist for the Rochester Post Bulletin featured me in her latest story, “‘Tis the season for tea.” I will post a link to the online version of the article as soon as it becomes available on their website, but I just had to share a little excerpt of the article with you! She plugged the tea book I’m working on, “Scenes From a Tearoom~Memories & Recipes.” It was the first time I saw the book’s title in print, and it made me SO happy!

As the weather gets colder, it’s an excellent time to cultivate the tradition of drinking and serving tea.

Melissa Placzek of Red Wing agrees. She is the author of two luxury retreat books, and now a new book she’s working on, “Scenes From a Tearoom-Memories & Recipes.”

“For me there’s nothing quite like tea during the winter, and especially around the holidays! In the cold months I take time daily to brew a hot pot of tea,” Placzek says. “It is such a refreshing contrast in the midst of the ‘hurry, hurry’ holiday hustle and bustle.

Placzek says she also likes hosting tea parties this time of year. When it comes to setting aside tea bags, the loose leaf tea strainer or strainer spoon, she says “It’s appropriate to have a little tea bag holder or plate on the table.”

THANK YOU SANDY for an awesome article! X and O…
