What tastes just like cake batter but is so much better for you? A birthday cake smoothie! I adore these when I’m craving cupcakes! Try one and see for yourself. It’s a great way to curb that craving and satisfy your sweet tooth.

for one birthday cake smoothie:

1/2 cup vanilla Greek yogurt

1 large frozen banana, cut into pieces

1/3 cup vanilla almond milk (or your favorite milk)

1 scoop vanilla, strawberry, or chocolate protein powder (optional)

a small handful of ice

1/4 teaspoon butter flavored extract

sweetened whipped cream

rainbow sprinkles

birthday candle (optional)

cute straws

Place yogurt, banana, milk, protein powder (if using), ice, and butter extract in the bowl of a blender. Blend until smooth. Adjust thickness if needed (add more yogurt or frozen banana if too thin, or more milk if too thick.) Stir in some sprinkles.

Pour into a glass or canning jar. Top with whipped cream and sprinkles. Garnish with birthday candle and cute straws. Serve.
