This is a beautiful, dreamy, lemony, creamy cocktail that I created featuring my favorite: limoncello. Limoncello is an Italian lemon liqueur that is produced in Southern Italy almost exclusively in the regions of Naples, the island of Capri, Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast. Some of my favorite commercial brands include: Argiolas Tremontis, Badia, and Villa Massa. A good rule of thumb when purchasing limoncello is to buy one that has been imported from Italy. I’ve tried a few that were made and bottled in the U.S. and they just aren’t as good.

for one lemon meringue pie milkshake {cocktail}

2 large scoops premium vanilla ice cream

1 to 2 Tablespoons whole milk or half & half

2 oz. limoncello liqueur

sweetened whipped cream

graham cracker crumbs

Place the ice cream, milk, and limoncello in the bowl of a blender. Blend until smooth, adding a little more ice cream if necessary (I like my milkshakes nice and thick.)

Transfer to a pretty glass and top with a dollop of sweetened whipped cream and a sprinkle of graham cracker crumbs. Place a cute straw in the glass and serve.

Enjoy!
