“They are not long, the days of wine and roses;

Out of a misty dream

Our path emerges for awhile,

then closes

within a dream.”

~Ernest Dowson

We enjoyed this beautiful, bright wine poolside a few nights ago and declare it PERFECT for summer picnics, soirees and date nights. It tastes like pink grapefruit and lemon meringue pie! It would make the perfect accompaniment to fish, a tropical salad, anything mango, or a citrus dessert. We had ours with grilled shrimp, mango salsa and Luna salad.

“Our Sauvignon Blanc is racy and bright. Pink grapefruit and passion fruit flavors layer with lemon-lime acidity and minerality signature of the Awatere Valley.” ~From the Crossings Sauvingon Blanc wine label

enjoy!

What are your favorite summer wines and wine pairing foods?
