We’ve had a few lovely days off and have spent them in our quaint little town of Red Wing. We’ve been out enjoying the gorgeous weather…How about you? What have you been up to?

Tonight, on our last night of ‘staycation,’ Jeff is making a new recipe for crawfish bisque. We decided to try a bottle of Starborough Sauvignon Blanc 2008 to compliment this dish. There is something wonderfully similar about the flavors of fish and Sauvignon Blanc that make them the perfect pairing. The light, French grape shares the subtle fruit and mineral nuances of fish (especially oysters on the half shell…try it sometime!) A match made in heaven! 🙂

Wine Description:

Refreshing gooseberry, grapefruit, and guava with the surprise of sugar snap peas and mustard seed at the finish.

Cheers!

~Melissa
